After installing the last update, powder toy closes and dissapeared from my desktop. I have tried to reinstal it, but i have the same problem. Anyone have a solution?

    Greetings.

What antivirus do you have? Are there any logs of it deleting it?

Someone else also reported this. Tpt shouldn't delete itself but it could be something deciding to delete it because of a false positive.

I am using Avast. Where can i find those logs?

I tried it again but now it says: Can't extract file, acces denied.

EDIT: Got it extracted in a map, but when i open TPT it closes directly and the powder.exe file is gone.

UPDATE: Got the problem solved. I deleted Avast, Download and installed TPT and it works.

After i installed Avast again it stays working.

Ok great. I haven't used an antivirus in years and I've been fine. It all depends on which untrusted files you are downloading from the internet or opening via email. Also the ads you see / click on. All the false positives make me unlikely to consider using one again in the future ...

Please don't recommend "finding license keys" for antiviruses or any other software. If you want to use a paid antivirus, you should buy it yourself. But I wouldn't recommend ever buying an antivirus, unless you need the real-time scanning of files. Just look at all the false positives you get if you have that :|

Usually there is a handy whitelist option for apps so that you don't need to uninstall AV everytime while installing a new untrusted app.

This should be fixed now. I submitted it to Avast's false positive website, and they replied saying it is fixed.
