first thing is i use windows 10 and on a dell laptop. for some reason powder toy is deleteing itself about 10% of the time i turn on my laptop. i had it happen to me about 4-5 times in the last 3 weeks. i have avast free antivirus and it says powder toy is not being detected as a virus. i also looked at my windows defender options and saw powder toy is ok. i made a exception on powdertoy on scan and it still deletes itself. its also not just the game. my stamps and stamp.def files and readme files and the lua multiplayer script go missing too. is anyone else haveing this problem? please help. it only started happining after i updated.

What folder do you keep powder toy in? Like, is it on your desktop, or documents, or something else?

It happens when you start your laptop only? Or other random times.

If it deletes itself on reboot when TPT isn't running, then it's probably something besides us deleting it.

Avast has been known to consider TPT a virus, but if it's not complaining then I don't know what else it could be. Since the 94.0 update a few more people than normal have complained about antiviruses triggering.

An antivirus wouldn't delete the entire folder though, which makes me think it is something else like a script you have, or something running on your computer that really wants to delete that folder for some reason ...

By any chance are you using windows 10 october 2018 build? 18xx builds? There was a bug which deleted files saved on pc automatically.Make sure it's not the case.

The issue there was one-time only. It would delete the entire Documents folder if you had moved it to a non-standard location. That doesn't match the issue here, and Microsoft has already fixed it anyway.

Is that the only script you have?

yes. (update #1) i scaned my pc and found no virus's but found i had alot of corrupted system files. that may be why thats happining? however its only hapining to powder toy, and i did have a run in with i virus that gave me adware and bloatware but I was sure that i got rid of everything. I did a startup scan too to see if virus's are hideing in system files and....nothing. The virus should be gone from my pc. its been a month since I deleted the virus. (update #2) im going to keap the game in a different folder out of my games folder to see if it still deletes itself.(update #3) I had powder toy in the new folder now and it has not been deleted so i think thats the end of this post, however if powder toy starts deleteing itself again I will post a new update
