Idea - Comment required to cast vote

This could really help against mass disliking, mass liking, bullying, or other issues. For example, a lot of peoples' scenes get downvoted by random people without reason, same with upvoting.

And if it was a legitimate downvote, the creator would know what they did wrong instead of randomly being hated on and losing confidence and self esteem.

Idk, i feel like telling people whats wrong with their saves could be insulting to some of them.
And for upvoting it will make it more tedious and probably less people would upvote saves in general.

Also it would probably leave a bunch of spam in the comments ike "+1 (comment too short)" or "-1 (comment too short)"
    Still not including any feedback

I can see the benefits of this idea, but I do kind of lean more towards what Maticzpl is saying. In some ways, it would help with a person's self esteem and confidence because they'd know what to work towards. However, there are people who'd probably not take it very well. While commenting before upvoting might be a great idea, there is also what Maticzpl has pointed out in that it would most likely be more tedious for people, which might result in less people upvoting the saves.
Of course, the other thing is that you'd have to figure out a way, if the idea went through, to mitigate potential spamming the "+1 / -1 (Comment too short)" thing that could end up filling up the comment section and then the creator has to pick through a bunch of the same thing before getting to the comments that point out what they're doing right and what needs to be improved.
Not gonna lie, I kind of wish people would give more feedback on my saves, but I feel that if the idea of adding a comment before voting were added, you'd end up with less upvotes or just a lot of the aforementioned "+1 / -1 (Comment too short)" stuff.

I agree, this could be useful for newer creators to improve there saves, but would as be rather tidious.

Yeah, you made a good point: spam. But it's actually a good idea, because pretty much users do downvote on saves without a reason, so that'd be a good reason to stop it. Also, someone once mass downvoted all my saves, and if @DanielsRevenge's idea would happen, this wouldn't be possible. Howewer, there has to be considered that there will be pages and pages of comments on a save if that save has many upvotes or downvotes. And what about the votes that were casted before this rule? I personally also lean more forwards to what @Maticzpl is saying, and when I said that I thought this was a "Really, really good idea" I did not consider what @Maticzpl has said.

I think this is a bad idea, and it's unlikely to be implemented in the future. There are already great points by @Maticzpl and @Denderth already. And I can back some of those up, I've seen how users react to votes, and it would create a lot of tension and moderation problems in the community if users could see who was downvoting saves this way. There are already issues I have to deal with weekly where someone has a bad reaction to a downvote on their save.

If commenting were required, it would definitely change the discourse on how comments / votes are treated though. I'm guessing there would be a strong disincentive to vote on saves, unless you really feel strongly. There would be less upvotes, and significantly less downvotes. The downvotes you do get would sting harder. The users who do downvote would likely be attacked, and their own saves would be downvoted by users trying to "stop the hate". Anyone who wants to give constructive criticism would likely comment, without any vote.

I myself would probably stop upvoting, or rarely do it at all. I don't usually have anything to say when I like a save, I just want to upvote and move on. If I had to leave a comment, I would rather just not upvote at all. If a save is good, there isn't much feedback I can offer, besides saying "great save". Saves would just be spammed with comments like these, which offer nothing constructive.

Well, my idea was to make it so that there was a way to get people to stop downvoting saves for no reason, and with upvoting saves. The people randomly downvoting saves is a big problem, but I guess it can be solved by just reuploading the save.

Small problem: the comments of bad saves and company would be '-1(Comment Too Short)' because, inevitably and invariably, there are going to be people who will not give a reason no matter what.
