How do i open saves from the website?

When I click the "Open" button on a save, it pops up with a windows that makes me choose the application. So i choose powder.exe and it opens, but the save does not appear and it is a blank window without any config, as it had been freshly installed.

In preferences, scroll down a little until you get to "Applications" which is a list of what to open things in. Do you see "ptsave" in the list? That's the url schema that's used to open saves in game. You may also see "Powder Toy Save" in the list, that's used to open .cps and .stm files but isn't the required thing here.Edited once by jacob1. Last: 19th Jun 2019

its set to powder.exe on my desktop
(its what i used before installing)

I manually set it awhile ago bc i was thinking it would fix it, but it didnt work.
