He went inactive on github a long time ago. Here is a list of his recent commits, the first page includes stuff from 2013 ... And they are basically all compiling fixes or urgent bug fixes.

He also decided to not use IRC anymore (I think), he'll fix the bot when we tell him it is broke and that is about it :P. But you see him on the forums occasionally, that is where he is most active.

The game is still running smoothly, I don't have any plans to do anything about the situation because it has been this way for about 2-3 years.

Well, except for those betas I posted on the last page, I might try making some unofficial betas until Simon can get back.

Hopefully Simon will get back soon. Also do you guys know why he's been acting strange?

It's not really strange. Maybe I thought it was strange in 2013 but by now it's normal.

Probably he just lost interest, got really busy, or other real life stuff happened. I guess it does seem strange to not even occasionally check on a game you created of this size, but I don't really know or care about all his reasons :P.

Hopefully he gives the game to one of the mods/devs. If he lost interest to The Powder Toy.

He probably stopped using email too. It doesn't really bother me that he left The Powder Toy.

Probably he lost interest, got really busy, or other real life stuff happened. If Simon was like this in 2010-2012 it would of been a bit odd for Simon to leave, like jacob1 said he decided to stop using IRC. He is actually more active on the forums then he was on IRC.
