I feel as though this community is slowly dying out. In the last week there have been less than 7 new threads posted in the creation section.
Wondering if any of you developers are concerned about this at all. And if so, are there any strategies in mind to appeal to more people. Like putting the game on Steam for example. I'm sure it could fit in with the rest of the indie titles (steam is far different to what it was in 2011, even software is distributed on Steam now).
It's a difficult thing to market to people though, and I guess marketting is out of the question for a project that doesn't really generate any money.
maybe people could donate money for programming and to gain popularity?
Still, a donate button would be useful probably
You gotta think though, its the school year. People have that to worry about. Trust me, its more active in the summer.
that would help
Well, for the past two years, I've been shamelessly advertising TPT on Omegle.
I'm pretty sure I've gotten upwards of several dozen people to check this game out and download it.
Of course, for every one person who likes the game, there's like 20 more who tell me to "'eff' off." lol
I've had a Powder Toy Account for almost three year's now. Some user's have come and gone. It's a lot more active during the summer months, people are worried about the exams coming up in the next few months. A donate button would be nice. Great suggestion though.
