The menu flickering and the Console Read/Write Error are both fixed, and as far as I can tell, it's all good. Thanks for using your programming voodoo for good & not evil!

New question now, does https://cracker.starcatcher.us/TPT/Download/Snapshot.dmg open? This is snapshot 34, I changed how it packages it to match what tpt needs to be like.

Does it actually work as an installer? I couldn't find anything on how to do that, ideally it would ask you to move it to /Applications or something. This is a compressed dmg file though, which is how official builds are released. -
This cannot be coincidental. I have now experienced at least 8 game crashes while trying to open a save. Except I am using windows 8.1

Can you try out the latest snapshot? I applied a similar fix to that (using -O2 though, instead of removing -O altogether). Just use the snapshot instead of normal tpt for a while. -
The new snapshot seems to worck, but I onley tested it for a few minutes.
