Issue with pressure

    Hello all,

     

    I have an issue with pressure in the game. May be I missunderstood something??

     

    I have made a simple tank without valve filled with pressurided LOX.

     

    (See the the screenshot)

     

    But the tank does not depresurize in despite of the hole at the top of the tank.

    Those pixels on top are TTAN, right?
    Pressure uses a 4x4 grid, so the 2px wide "hole" in the titanium is still blocking it. Try making the hole wider or use a different material.

    Yes it is titanium.

     

    The pressure grid is not the same for all materials?

    The pressure grid is independent of the material, however TTAN blocks pressure completely, as long as there are at least one TTAN particle with at least 2 adjacent TTAN particles in one pressure grid square.

    In this example, I have 4 pixel wide and the LOX doesn't vent... (the grey pixel is my mouse)

    Most likely, the two sides of the hole are in two adjacent cells of the pressure grid, blocking the pressure in both.
    Make the hole even wider OR move the tank a pixel or two to the right or left OR use a different material.

    Is there a way to show the pressure grid?

     

    And additionnaly, I don't know how to move objects pixel by pixel with CTRL-X/V...

    If you press g once, you can see the pressure grid. (then shift+g to turn it back off or cycle through all 9 layers of grids)

    That should help you align it so the 4 pixel gap is aligned with the grid.

    Also, in order to move objects pixel by pixel, use the arrow keys.

    So this position is correctly optimized to calculate the pressure?

     

    EDIT : I don't understand why the pressure grid is 4x4 instead of 5x5 like on the graphical grid
