Powder Toy Admin Bypass

So recently I installed the powder toy on a school mac that has been configured, and when I opened it is said it was from an unidentified developer and could not be opened, and normally that would mean I was locked out for good, but I know a way to get around that, so I was still able to play the game and have fun.

I'm not sure if this is a bug, because it's not preventing me from using the game, but for some reason, the mac acts as if the game is a system application or something installed by the administrators, so it won't allow me to delete, move, or modify it's contents.

You (most likely) installed the game as an admin, and now it behaves as if it was installed by an admin. Doesn't seem like a bug to me.

No I was just a standard user on a school mac, and when I have installed games with this method before, nothing really changes.

This is normal for macs. I'm unsure why, but even if a non-admin user downloads tpt, the download requires admin permissions to move or delete it. It is very annoying, and this is the reason why in-app updates no longer work.

Your only option is to have admin rights if you want to move it. Despite this, the game itself is not launched with administrator permissions so is safe to use.
