Undo changed?

Before the update that added platinum, Silicone, And the other things I remember being able to undo up to 5 times and any further just replays the furthest undo. (usefull when testing bombs as you just press the button 5 times and you can replay the explosion). But now I find that after the 5 undos it just ignores any further input to undo. Was this changed? Some kind of bug? Im I remembering wrong? I swear I remember being able to do that.

Yes, undo saw a lot of changes in the most recent update. It uses less memory now (so if you increase your limit by editing powder.pref, it's less likely to crash the game after using too much ram)

This behavior was also changed as part of the cleanup. It was a bit useful, but there is a simple alternative. You can just redo then undo.
The quickest redo shortcut is ctrl+shift+z (rather than ctrl+y). So if you press ctrl+shift+z then ctrl+z, you'll get the behavior you want back.

Wait...how long has redo been a thing? I never knew powder toy had that. Thanks for the help.

Redo has been a thing since undo history limits were a thing.

It used to be only one undo, and you could press ctrl+z to repeatedly restore history as you described here. Then multiple undos were added, and with that came redo.
