Can't update.

i was going to update, (with Avast) and Avast poped up a error saying:
"We've blocked Powder_upd.exe because it was infected with:
IDP.ARES.Generic."
and i want to what it is.

This is a false positive.
Please see my post on the topic here. Everything here is also relevant for vanilla TPT - the fact that brand-new .exe files trigger antiviruses, and the fact that there is a safe chain of trust in releasing TPT updates to ensure there is no interference.
You can try redownloading it from the Download page, and set an exception in your antivirus if you need to. -
