Amalgamation

Hello. I have a great suggestion - amalgamation. It won't need any new elements.

The process is simple. If you pour MERC on gold, iron or other metals, it will slowly dissolve. Each MERC particle would store dissolved metal as ctype. When amalgam is heated above 357 C, MERC will disappear,  and metal will be left. Of course, MERC would also expand, and its new particles won't have the ctype.

Would be interesting and useful for factories and a whole new class of bombs.

I don't like the idea of GOLD dissolving.  GOLD is impossible to dissolve for a reason.  Wheather the the dissolver is ACID or not doesn't matter.  GOLD must never dissolve.  Other than that, it's good.

Dissolving gold is one of main uses for amalgamation in real life. So it needs to be implemented.

Personally, I think it is fine to allow GOLD to be dissolved. There's not many situations in which the two elements are in direct contact with each other, and we have other metals/solids that would not be affected by the MERC.
