Virus warning from avast

    Avast warned me about powder toy. Exe was infected with (IDP. ARES.Generic), i downloaded from the oficial page

    ARES.Generic is avast's way of saying "I don't know what this is so I'm not going to let you use it."

    There is no virus. Avast just doesn't have a brain.

    There are no viruses in Powder Toy. I ran it through virustotal.com now to confirm: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/c93d71051a2e3a7433cedaa19e4b48a1ab609399c2188f9cea022aaec771449d/detection

    Strangely enough, according to this Avast thinks it is ok. But this is actually the 3rd report I've gotten from Avast about the update.

    This isn't uncommon, it feels like every update we go through the same thing, many users report false positives from their antiviruses. I think the antiviruses are just unsure what this brand new file is, they might be especially confused that a new library (libcurl) was added.

    Just ignore the warning if you can. It is definitely not a virus.
