Strange coal

Maybe I'm crazy? When I bring the light of a lamp on the phone, the pixels of coal become lighter! No really, they change color. What this feature supposed to do?

Maybe you have the Auto brightness setting turned on? It will adjust the screen brightness based on ambient light conditions.

It's possible when you bring the lamp closer, the phone's ambient light sensor senses it and increases the screen brightness and thus the COAL parts appear lighter.

But this does not work with other pixels, and the auto brightness setting is disabled on my phone

Burning coal makes the color change, if that's what you mean. This is just meant to represent coal getting hot, lots of elements do similar things
