in real life oxygen is not flammable, it gets really annoying when I'm trying to make a rocket please fix in next update.

TPT isn't meant to be realistic, if it was it would be pretty boring.

That's dumb. TPT is a physics simulator -- there are many, many, many realistic apects to the game. He just asks for one feature in the game to be fixed... It's pretty easy to use other gases which are flammable. It would be boring if the devs were to remove certain features and elements already in the game which don't exist in real life; at that, if someone does introduce many other mechanics which are, to many degrees, parallel to real life. You may not think it's boring, but it's because of how the developers have managed to make it both realistic and fun...

Wait, what the heck where you using the oxygen for anyway, i dont think it is beyond a fuel

If the game was too realistic it would be boring. Oxygen hasn't been flammable since Skylark was the original admin. That was a decade ago, and hasn't been the admin since 2010 when @Simon took over. The game isn't meant to be realistic. Although the game does have some realistic reactions.

I use it in my greenhouses, but never published them. It starts the process called photosynthesis.

Oxygen allows other things to burn. Presumably the oxygen in TPT isn't pure, it's mixed with other stuff that is flammable.

"Fixing" this would also break the reaction where O2 + H2 burnt together make water vapor.

It's been like this forever so probably won't change. It's definitely not a bug, it's just a questionable design decision made years ago.

I thought it would break the O2 + H2 reaction, if you want a non flammable gas use WATV.

Consider this: changing one thing (that is not to imply whether or not oxygen is flammable) wouldn't make the game boring. This is because there was only one change made to the game. To assert that the game "isn't" meant to be realistic is... underwhelming -- you've given me no reason to think otherwise '\_('-')_/' . I've acknowledged that the game has several realistic features as well as unrealistic features which I needn't list. Thus, I haven't implied (and, if you've read carefully enough, directly said) that the game is necessarily meant to be realistic. While I agree that oxygen is not flammable, I can easily settle with the assumption that the Oxygen used in the game is impure. (Note that this likely means there is something for the Oxygen to oxidise and therefore FIRE can burn the substance mixed with the O2 as fuel (again, another realistic feature))

I don't think you caught what me and jacob1 said... This would break saves that have O² + H² = Water Vapor reaction (If heated up together), if this was fixed. This game is not meant to be entirely accurate on reactions. If you want realistic chemical reactions make a mod on it. What I am saying the game wasn't meant to be entirely accurate look at uranium fo example that's not realistic, but fun to use nor is plutonium.

He understands now, he's just saying that realism doesn't always = boring. If I were redoing all the reactions in TPT, I would consider making oxygen not flammable. That wouldn't make the game less fun, just a change in how the reactions work.

But I do like my excuse of "TPT oxygen is impure" to explain this :)
