controlling tags

    i have an idea: tags that controlling save's state. it would start by "!" or something, and only owner of save or mods can place it.

     

    ex. !novoting would disable voting, !nofp prevents save from getting fp, !hiddenid to disable id seach and etc. 

    it will be helpfil in some cases.

    Why use tags for this? I definitely want the !nofp thing to be a setting when uploading. Novoting might also be nice to have. As for hiddenid, I would like actually private saves too and considered making that an option when uploading.

    idk, i dont think how it will look. but i dont think that overloading upload window with buttons is good.

    It's just 2 additional checkboxes, and then changing the "publish" checkbox to a dropdown. It should look fine. It is also way more intuitive, nobody would know the special tags exist except for a handful of people.

    yea, but there may be another usefell options. anyway, will it be added in next updates?

    No, the next update won't have any of this, but maybe in updates after that.

    I feel like disabling voting would be used more by people stealing saves, spamming or otherwise uploading low-quality saves, since it would stop them getting downvotes. I can't think of many situations where it could be used by people with good intentions...

    Before I go to bed I am going to be honest, this is not a good idea. Like @coryman said I don't see this being used by users who have good intentions, perhaps a mod can stop the votes. After the user unpublishes his/her work, but the user would have to ask a mod/dev to do this. Still the idea is not good in my opinion, users would abuse this in all honesty. Increasing the chances of saves being stolen from beginners, it's already annoying reporting stolen saves without credit. Plus a massive surge in low quality content would just get FP if you can disable downvotes. Wouldn't that be considered vote farming?

    there is report button and i mean disable voting like save 404; save will get fp if it got ~ 5 upvotes when staying on first page by time and there a free place (low upvoting) on fp, as i know.

    Wouldn't disabling voting also mean disabling upvotes, or am I missing something?
