    If you are using the console or PROP tool, the tempatures have to end with a tempature symbol. For example: 22C will appear as 22C. If you use 22, it will set the tempature to 22 degrees kelvin, which is -251C.

     Exactly.To use temp in celcius you would have to use a "C" at the end.

    "!set temp dest 500c" will make all dest particles 500c

    You're probably typing the command wrong somehow. I would need to see exactly what command you are doing to see. Make sure not to set the temperature more than 10000, which is the max. 9922 should be fine so I don't know why you would have any issues.
