TPTMP Hacking?

    So OmegaDeltaZero, DetailedToast, and I were all on the null server on TPTMP when someone started going online with our usernames e.g OmegaDeltaZero0 and thechubbyhusky1. We suspected that it was a seperate player in another private server since there were 4 players online and just the 3 of us were in the null. We could also see these "ghost accounts" in the chat saying "i have already hacked his account' ".

     

    Edit:I checked the "By Date" and a save was posted called GET HACKED by DetailedToast. In the save it says "Get hacked thechubbyhusky". ID:2189010

     

    Edit Edit: DetailedToast said they didn't post the save themselves but it was posted under their profile. It has been deleted.

    None of this is hacking, lol. tptmp isn't integrated with your powdertoy account, it just uses the return value of tpt.get_name() and sends it to the server. You can easily fake it and pretend to be other users. When people do that, I put a restriction on their IP to force them to use their real username. I have just done that now.

    It seems @DetailedToast incorrectly thought they were ip banned. Not sure why, I was asleep at the time and I don't see any bans at all. If you want to be unbanned, PM me. But it seems this is your alt account, so maybe you should just use your main account from now on.
