TPT Veterans Group?

I'm thinking of making a TPT Veterans Group. There was one before but it died :(
The group will focus on helping the overall community by gathering the most experienced members of TPT and bringing them all together.
Users can submit comments on areas or saves they need help in or topics/elements they want further explained and then someone can help them by:
    1) creating a tutorial page
    2) direct them to a forum thread
    3) create a save or part that solves the problem while adding tips and tricks in the process
We will create group saves, chat with the community, organize TPT events and challenges(I have a few planned), as well as having a place to put all those awesome saves you guys make
Overall, I'm thinking of making the group open to people with either
    1) 2-3 years TPT experience
    2) 50+ saves
    3) High like count or overall quantity
Im emphasizing quality rather than quality as very bright and creative users who understand a lot might have less than a year or only 8 saves.
I really want to bring back groups as they were a good idea and allowed users to easily find the help they needed.
Not everyone reads the forums so I think getting a group together in game would really help.
Comment any suggestions and a save will come out later tomorrow

I can join. I have all of those points expect 2-3 years TPT experience. I have 68 saves and my average score is 18,75. :-0

Try not to put too many restrictions on who can join. The group system is touchy enough already, plus the only real point to have a group is to talk to other people outside the main forum pages.

Any 'collaborative' saves would still be under one account name, and the best you can do there is add in a logo for your group.

    Trust me on this.

Your profile says you registered in November 2011. Meanwhile @jacob1 actually is August 2011 :)

Does it say when I registered? I know I had the game before there were different element categories, I just don't know if I had an account then.

Back on topic, it would be nice getting a bunch of experienced TPT users together, whether it's to collaborate on a very complicated project, or to help less experienced players solve problems. If too many people want credit for their work, an account could be created called "TPT Veteran Group" or something along those lines, and all saves could be published under that name with credit in the description.

Not necessarily saying I should be in the group, I've been here a while but that doesn't make me good, haha

Yes it does, look at your profile from the website, it should be the first thing to appear under "Information" http://i.imgur.com/YvMf5MT.png

Although your idea seems cool, sadly, TPT groups tend to not get much attention, so you might have a hard time keeping your group active for too long, unless you know a lot of friends on the internet or in real life who could be interested in the game, that should give you a boost.

Yah I discovered this game a little late as it is not as popular in America as other nations.

Seems like the term "Powder Toy" is more popular in Australia than in the United States, but "Powdertoy" is more popular in the United States more than any other country, according to Google Trends. Looking at the descending "Interest over time" graph is sad.

It's dead now though, But it's interesting how it managed to survive for over a year (or maybe two? I don't remember correctly) and became the largest group in the history of the powder toy, I wasn't there when it was really active, so that's sad. There is also the forum games group, which also became popular, but it's dead now. Maybe I'm advertising too much, I should stop.

So if a new group was made, the chances are that group would never last for too long, unless groups suddenly got some attention by devs and suddenly became super useful, which would definitely never happen.

P.S. I saw your thread in the group and replied to it
