I have a school computer (you can take it home) and I used to be able to download The Powder Toy last year, but this year is blocked. Currently, the only things I can access is .jar files. I can't access .dmg files or .app files because .app is ran with Terminal. Terminal is ovbiously blocked on this computer :P (I am using Mac OS X btw) Does anybody have an external version that will let me run The Powder Toy? if you can, thank you! :)

TPT is distributed as a .app file, there might not be much you can do if those are blocked.

Maybe you could directly run the powder-x binary. If you open up the .app file that will be inside some folders. They may have blocked this too though. I don't have a link to the binary, because it's inside the .app inside the .dmg, and I can't open .dmg files unless i'm on a mac.

What's an x-binary? And when you say in some folders, do you mean the system directory?

So if you download a .app for Mac, you're actually downloading a huge folder of various files and resources. One of these resources is an executable code file - this is the code that makes up TPT.

If you can still get to the .app package (and just can't install it to Applications) you can just right click and Show Package Contents on the app, then navigate to Contents > MacOS > and double-click the powder-x file.

I'm sorry if I said I can't access .dmg files, but when I said that I meant I can't download resources from it (Like by dragging via Applications.) But I have already dragged the application to my desktop and it will not let me run, the application wants the password. (I don't have it)

Btw, it still lets me actually "drag" it to my desktop, to stop comfusion.

Ovbiously, I don't have adminstrator privileges so my access is blocked from most things.

Also, I'm not trying to be rude or anything but when I said that I can't access Terminal, but you want me go to an .exec file, which uses Terminal.

Is there any way around this? I'm real eager to get The Powder Toy working!

    Thanks.
