    Are you using the latest version? (91.3). Does anything appear in stderr.txt after it closes? If there is a powder.pref, you might also want to try deleting it. Also, is your computer like 7+ years old? (unlikely since you are running windows 8.1, if you were using xp I would believe that this could be the issue)

    No, they all seem to be empty with 0 KB in data.

    I am running the latest version.

    Well i'm not sure what your problem is then. Does this snapshot work? http://starcatcher.us/TPT/Download/Snapshot.zip
    Or maybe my mod, which is based on another codebase: http://starcatcher.us/TPT/mod/Jacob1's%20Mod%20ver%2033.5.zip

    What kind of CPU do you have?

    I've never seen anyone be unable to launch it, except for people on windows xp ...

    Right click start -> System

    Then a window will come up, one of the things listed is "Processor". Mine is an Intel Core i5-2520M

    It helps enough to make sure that your CPU supports powder toy. But it doesn't give me any answers about why it wouldn't start.

    I'm not sure if there is any way of debugging what is going on. The only thing I can think of is, just compiling it in visual studio for you. Hopefully that would run (Maybe i'll do this tomorrow, but last time I promised to do this for someone I forgot / didn't have time to)
