How to tell whether you have been banned

    Hi all, I just woundered how you will know if you have been banned. Also is ther a way to tell if you have been permabanned.

    Hi @Gelix, if you are wondering whether you are banned or not, you are not because I can see your post! If you were banned I would not be able see your post!

    If you are ever banned you will be automatically logged out. Then when you attempt to log back in again it will tell you why and tell you how long it will be until you are unbanned.

    And if you are permbanned, I think you only see the ban reason.

    Bans are publicly announced on IRC though.

    TPT has no shadowbans.

    What if someone has been banned but the reason for it doesn't make sense? Is there any way to get specific details? If I were banned, I would certainly want to know exactly what I had done, what words I shouldn't have used or whatever, so that I would not make the same mistake again.

    Anyway, i'm nice and I unbanned you :)

    And ... deleted the tag. It was on id:1895292 by the way

    Tags should describe something people might search for. I always delete any insults or similar in tags.

    Edit2: Also, sorry for the confusion ):, if you are ever banned and don't know why, you can PM me or another moderator and we can look into it / explain why.

    Just one question yet: Why does that disgusting  save still exist? It is simply filth.

     

    ETA: It seems a little odd that a protest against an offensive, racially abusive save is deemed an  offense worthy of banning while the extremely objectionable save is mot.

    You can't PM people while banned, but you already had an alt.

    And again maybe this would be best for PM :P. The save I gave an ID for was already disabled. We don't always actually delete saves. But I just deleted it now I guess ... maybe I didn't realize it was supposed to be offensive. I wouldn't call it "extremely objectionable" when I have no idea what it even was ... and anyway you should have used the report button then instead of tagging it like you did.
