TPT for Chrome?

I was wondering if there was a way to download TPT on Chrome. I've seen many people desiring this, so I think the time should be taken -if it hasn't already- to create a compatible version. Could anyone let me know if there is a way to download it, or possibly create it for me, if it wouldn't be too difficult? Sorry if this has been asked before. I'm not really sure where my post should go :/ Thank you for your time.

I think you are confused about computers >_>

Chrome is an internet browser, it is used to go to websites and browse the internet. Also it can be used to download things, like TPT.

So, you can use Chrome to download TPT just like normal, by going here: https://powdertoy.co.uk/Download/powder-win32.zip . This link is on the main "Download" page. It has nothing to do with what internet browser you use, it is just a download link for the Windows version of TPT.

Then just open that and put TPT wherever you like and it will work.

@jacob1 I think he means Chrome OS, as in a Chromebook.

That's what I was thinking too (after I posted it). But probably should have said that ...

I've never used a chromebook (and also I don't use chrome either). But unless it lets you run games written in C++, that just isn't going to happen.

Technically you can compile TPT with the NaCl compiler and make some SDL shims to run it quickly. Should be way faster than asm.js / Emscripten anyway.

I think this is a good idea because now-a-days Chromebooks are the general laptops used for education(school, college, ect.). They are really cheap and now most school and colage's have a classroom set of chromebooks. I myself have a Chromebook because my parents bought me on since I do alot of research. Is it posible to have a chrome version fro TPT?(in not now then when :D)

Sorry, it completely slipped my mind -I was referring to a Chromebook. Thanks for the explanation.

As @boxmein (View Post) states, yes[1][2], it is possible to do it, but I don't think the devs will be investing the required amount of time in doing that. Also, I don't think any of them have chromebooks.

So if you really want it, you have to learn to do it yourself.

Ah, that's what I'd gathered from the situation, as well (I realize your comment wasn't directed towards me, but regardless). I was hoping that something had changed over the years since this topic was seemingly last mentioned, which I wasn't aware of.
