Android TPT port

    might be a duplicate but...

Samsung Tab 4 7" (Wifi version)

    39-40fps blank screen

    Save: Destroyable city- 4-5fps(running).

    pros:

UI is very fast, and surpisingly, even the small buttons work very well. being able to press the clearscreen button seems to be unhindered by a simulation running at low frame rate, making an easy escape and not getting bogged down.

Glad it works so well :)

It seems you have a large enough screen to play it, I don't have any problems hitting the buttons on the main screen either. I still plan to make them wider though. Also i'm not sure if I should keep the clear screen button on the bottom, I was originally going to remove it but I think I might keep it. The alternate clear screen is holding down the eraser button.

Simon promised to update TPT this weekend. If he does i'll have to update this port, although it might be a few days, we will see. Since it is based off of my mod it will let you open 91.0 saves even on 90.1, and hopefully it will even open saves with CRMC properly even though there are different IDs.

I found a very imp bug. In android port some simulation problem is there for eg the fan wall is working oddly as oil etc are catching fire in it while this is not happening in PC version..that is same save is behaving different in android port and PC.I think this can be due to your c port which is slightly different from c++ version which I am using on PC.please solve this.

Intended, in the current version of TPT, FIRE can't burn anything inside of walls which I thought was really strange and didn't make sense. In the next version, it can.

I expected it to break a few saves, but hopefully it isn't too much of an issue.

Seems cool, was curious if this was ever going to be a thing.

I can't find any issues with it yet honestly, it runs pretty well, I'm just not used to the app controls yet. It does tend to slow down a lot when doing simple explosions, but that might be because of the RAM on my Galaxy S4.  Drops down to about 18 FPS, which to be honest ain't bad, compared to a PC of the same power.

Just a suggestion, is double tap at some point going to work as the fill function in the future? Would be nice if that were to happen, but take your time, thanks for making the port.

That flood fill thing would work, great idea. Probably the first click would place as normal, then if you click again in the same spot quickly it will activate flood fill. I haven't been writing down ideas or updating the first post, but I hope to get back to that soon.

Also slowdown is due to the CPU, not RAM. Phones just aren't powerful enough :|.

Well the RAM in my phone is usually... Quite busy... haven't bothered checking what the CPU was. That probably explains why it went into overheat mode (it's hot here today), and drained about 1/2 of the battery. Still, thanks for the port.

Just downloaded and installed on my Galaxy Note 5. Works great! Just a couple of problems that I noticed. One is that I cannot log in. It seems to ignore my log in attempt if I use my correct username and password. However, if I use the wrong password or username I do get an error stating that I used an incorrect login. I have skimmed the comments of others and I am glad to see there is an active development active!

    Keep up the great work!

Very strange that you can't login, I logged in just fine ...

Is anyone else having that problem?

    Hi jacob1!

I just installed on my Galaxy Tab4 and it logged in fine. I think I figured out what is happening on my Note 5. Somehow the keyboard is adding a space after my user name when I recall my username from previous suggestions. I used my S Pen to tap on login after correctly typing my username without auto correction and I was able to log in!

So I do not think it was the auto suggest that messed me up! :)

    Thanks!
