If it's not the folder where Powder Toy was extracted to, and you can't find it by searching for powder.pref, then I have no idea.

Maybe try, in the TPT console, running   fs.makeDirectory("tptasdf1234")   (or some other unique name). Then search your entire computer for a folder with that name.

Your powder toy directory is where you have powder toy, if you have The Powder Toy(the one that you open to play) in your desktop, then your desktop is the powder toy directory.

Open TPT, click on "Simulation Options" and "Open Data Folder".

I eventually managed to find a copy of Vista, and for me the TPT folder seems to be:

    • If TPT is started by double clicking Powder.exe in explorer: the folder containing Powder.exe.
    • If TPT is started by typing "Powder" into the start menu search box thing: C:\Users\mooooo\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Windows\System32 . ("Open Data Folder" opens a different folder, C:\Windows\system32)

(TPT should probably store data in a consistent place, such as %APPDATA%\PowderToy\, instead of in whatever mad location Windows decides the working directory should be...)

Its supposed to open windows explorer but it's broken. But still, you should be able to tell from that console where the folder is and navigate there in windows explorer.

Have you tried right click on powder.exe -> Properties and look at what's given under "Location" ?

Obviously the directory is in your computer, somewhere.
From where do you run TPT? Desktop? Start menu?
