    What does your save need to do for it to get FP?

    Only neat and serious saves can get a chance to get into FP.

    Not quite true,any save can get FP,and I've seen joke, mundane, and (mildly) messy saves get FP.

     

    Getting FP is mostly a matter of getting many upvotes in a short matter of time. It's a bit arcane , but to give a example, a save that recieves an upvote right after it's published will likely recieve FP.

    many of the saves on front page receive  a lot of butthurt comments(i.e. "I could do 1000x better than this why is it on FP?" kinds of comments). despite the fact that anyone can vote.

    Actually, if a save gets another 2 upvotes within about 30 minutes (I think), it will get FP. I remember that from when I accidently upvoted one of my saves from 2 alts to stop it from going into the negative.

    It should have a high votes/views ratio.

    I'm not sure the number of views affects it at all, I think it's just based on votes and time since the save was first published.
