OE-Cake isn't open source. We don't really know how to take the code, nor how to apply it. We can't really just disassemble the executable and try to figure out what C code generates similar results to the moving-solid code generated. You do have a point though - they have a great moving solid implementation. Stuff like mochi as well, which is kinda solid but kinda not as well. And mixing mode, oh god mixing mode.
true. but at least,if anything, it proves that it's not impossible as many have tried to state. how much effort is needed to add the code might be a bit of a roadblock though, since it would need to be optimized and such and I don't think any of the major developers are willing(based on replies I've seen in the past whenever the topic was brought up)
We cannot "take the movable solids code from OEcake", because as @boxmein said, the source code is not available for OE Cake. I am unable to even attempt to integrate code that I do not have.
Also, http://tpt.io/.58803 :
You can't just magically stuff programs together like that. It's like trying to merge a cow with an elephant, you don't get one bigger, more effective creature. You get an explosion of gore and messyness. D:
Trying to integrate rigid body physics from a different program wouldn't really be much easier than writing it from scratch.
The implementation I tried was buggy, but not at all crashy.
Couldn't TPT get in trouble, for taking another games code source??? and elements without asking the owner of OE-CAKE. -.-
