Help using proxy by editing powder.pref

Heylloo guys. So I need to direct my TPT's internet traffic through Tor as KIS keeps blocking my connections except when using Tor (ha in ur face kaspesty). So I read that you can use Tor as a proxy here: http://www.wikihow.com/Route-All-Network-Traffic-Through-the-Tor-Network but that didn't make any sense to me at all.

So now, I read on how to use a proxy with TPT but that involves having to open TPT through CMD and entering proxy flags or summat which won't work for me as I use TPTPortable. So instead, I was wondering: can use the proxy routing thing from that website by editing my powder.prefs "proxy" line to have the IP address obtained from following said website and make TPT not say "Client Closed Request" anymore? If so, how?

If this will work, I'd prefer learning how to do this this way as well because I want to able to use TPT online in places where connections to TPT servers are blocked and I can't use CMD/edit system settings.

Edit: Nevermind. It turns out there is an ini file where I can add additional parameters but using the proxy parameter (proxy:127.0.01:9151) just causes TPT to be stuck at loading, so either way it won't work. I'll have to figure something else. Maybe I'm using the wrong IP or port. Mods please lock this thread.
