unhandled exception errors?

    I like playing powder toy whenever i can, but occasionally i get this blue screen that shows me this exactly... ERROR Details: Unhandled exception An unrecoverable fault has occured, please report the error by visiting the website below http://powdertoy.co.uk I haven't had any problems with powdertoy until the alpha with protons and virus was released... can anybody help? there are no more details shown on my screen... just the above Edit:: now i can't even open powder toy, just keep getting the same error as above

    try re-downloading; if you're using the beta it's probably just a stability issue. Maybe use the official version instead?

    This is a known issue with corrupted saves, or saves from a newer version. It's just a bug with more classes how PreviewModel throws an exception, but there is nothing to catch it because of some rearranged code, so it errors all the way back to the main loop.

    I've sort of taken a break from developing tpt the last 3 weeks and haven't fixed this or anything else really. But when I get back into it this will probably be one of the first things I fix.

    Edit: can you show me which save errors? Browse your saves from the website and I'll take a look at it. If it is corrupted, right click it and select "View History" to maybe get back to a working version.

    well, i'll try that, but it seems that most of the time that the error happens i had loaded someone else's save and pasted a stamp into that, and when i left that save or opened another one that the error triggers... im not sure that it's the saves, but possibly the stamps, because i can open the same save and do the same things that would trigger the error on my computer and don't trigger that same error on another computer... basically, the error only seems to happen on my computer... also, im not sure if missing a .exe file from my computer has anything to do with the error... because im missing my run32dll.exe file or something like that...

    The next version will be more specific in which unhandled exception it is ... maybe if you really want I could give you a version where it tells you the exception, but i'm still pretty sure it's this corrupted save one. Maybe it's downloading incorrectly and so you really do get a corrupted save.

    yes, while that is possible, and it would be nice to know more specifics about the errors, it seems that this error always occurs in conjunction with a stamp, and in saying so, i am starting to get errors that go something like this "ERROR Details: Unable to read/write" with some other stuff like the unhandled exception error... Edit: while i was just playing about a minute ago, the game had an unhandled exception error, yet i had not opened any stamp OR save... why me?

    so... anybody have any ideas what may be causing these problems for me? i am kinda getting anxious to fix this problem and resume playing tpt like normal
