Mac OSX Mavericks issues

Since I upgraded to OSX Mavericks, tpt has been acting up.

    1. Full screen crashes tpt. The animation comes up for maximising, then it just shows me the desktop and tpt stops responding.

    2. Double scale mode tells me that my screen resolution is too small, which it obviously isn't.

    3. TPT gives me an annoying message that I don't need to install the powder toy on Mac OSX every time I start the program.

    4. TPT does not rmember login.

    Model: 13-inch mid-2012 Macbook Pro

    8GB 1600 MHz DDR3 memory installed

    Software:

    OS X 10.9 (13A603)

Wow, an OS X update breaks/changes/removes/renames an API/program/feature/.../interface?

That sure is surprising. I mean, apple is usually super concerned with keeping the API stable. (oh wait...)

Before the wall of Apple hate comes out of the woodwork, I would like to point out that this has never ever worked on my computer.

    EVER.

    Having the same issue.

I checked powder.pref on the same directory where the Powder.app is located, and I conclude that TPT doesn't seem to be able to "read" the preferences file where all the saved datas ( saves, logins, settings ) are stored, but modifying the settings or logging did change the preferences file. However, whenever TPT is launched, the preferences file is reset, resulting in logging in issues, missing save files, repetitive initial setup, etc.

    MBP Mid-2012, OSX Mavericks ( Build 13A603 ).

    ---

TPT previously worked fine without any issues on Mountain Lion ( 10.8.X ), but the major system update on mavericks may have changed something else; I have other apps having similar issue: cannot access saved files properly.

full screen has always crashed macs. This is an SDL problem, also I don't know why Simon doesn't just update SDL ...

i'm not sure what the double scale problem is, try typing tpt.setwindowsize(2) into the console (possibly putting in autorun.lua).

As for 3 and 4, no idea. Maybe some bug in that is preventing apps from reading things in their own directory? Tell me if it can read stamps, local saves, and autorun.lua.

The fullscreen problem is a known one, but we've never had the forget login/ask for install every time problem, which suggests TPT can't read/write its preferences file, are you running the app from /Applications or is it still in the dmg? If you run it from the dmg, it will be unable to write the powder.pref file in the same directory.

Powder.app is located in /Applications; of course.

My stamps don't show up when I press K; it's empty.

However the stamps folder is still there, with all the stamps file.

I can ensure that the preferences file cannot be accessed by TPT; the preferences file last modified date is before the OSX Mavericks update ( this tuesday, October 22 ).

tpt.windowsize(2) works, yes, but it is too big for my screen :I

So the large screen error message for me is valid.

Okay, that is definitely unusual, I will try to sort this out once I've set up a new hackintosh

    :O

I can give you a screencast or teamviewer access to check on the issue if you want.

    Thanks!
