how to make links

Here you go.Feel free to ask for clarification or skip over the parenthesis as those are just hints.
1.Highlight(click and drag your cursor over it) some text.
2.In the bar below it,Insert/Edit Link (it looks like a chain) appears.
3.The first box says "Link URL". Put the URL(in most browsers, it's in the top bar,usually in a box below the tabs) of whatever you want to link to in it.
4.Click "Insert"(the white box with a green border).

yes it can. Take this thread for example, https://powdertoy.co.uk/Discussions/Thread/View.html?Thread=17266 .
This thread is id 17266. So make a sign, and type {t:17266|text in sign}, and it will link to a forum thread -

yeah, but he might have worded it wrongly and meant "how do I do thread links", or assumed you could go to any website. He probably saw that front page save that uses a thread link sign and wondered how to do it. I guess I could have said it only works for threads on these forums, but I just wanted to say how thread link signs work just in case. -

i meant a link that goes to a website but not a save
If you want to link threads in TPT saves, use the sign tool and type {t:threadnumber|Text}.
Thread number is the number at the end of thread URLs. For example, the thread number of this thread is 17266.
If you mean something else., please state it. You might want to phrase your question better next time so that users can understand better and hence give a better reply. -
necroposting but {c:Save ID|Save name} for saves and for threads jacob1 already said in this topic
