Gravitic Lens Wrecking My Computer

I found that when you switch to fancy display, the Newtonian fliter effect reduces my framerate from a 60 to a 14. Could it be optimized in any way? I would love to play at at least 30 FPS.

Guess you can't just use gravity lensing then..

TPT is a powder simulator. There is very little that can be done to speed it up.

Plus you can always use the view fine-tuning view to turn off gravity lensing alone...

Well it could be optimized in a lot of ways, but that would require so much work it's probably not going to happen. Sadly, your computer just can't handle the newtonian gravity lense very well.

we could make it multithreaded just like gravity, I've seen someone do that. But I think it was really buggy and probably would not be a good idea.

So basically, either turn gravity lensing off but keep the rest of fancy display mode, or don't use it at all and instead use fire mode (4). Fancy display mode is basically the best graphics, and just like any game that will not always run fast on most computers.

How do you turn gravity lensing off?

I suggest you create a new thread when you have an issue, instead of bumping a thread from 6 years ago.

But anyway, gravity lensing is only on if you are using fancy display mode (7). All other display modes have it off.
