Unable to launch

I'm running Ubuntu 12.10 64-bit and I downloaded the default version of the current tpt. When unzipped, neither "powder" nor "powder-legacy" launch, and I've checked the option to allow it to run as a program.

What can I do to fix this?

there is no 64 bit version of tpt, so you can't run it unless you compile it. There is a simple guide on the wiki to compile your own version, just give scons the --64bit flag.

If you don't want to compile it yourself, I can post a compiled one later this week maybe.

Ok, I just tried this... I'm having trouble getting lib64bz2-dev due to dependencies that won't install. I've tried installing the dependencies individually, but that's not working out either.

So yeah, if you could compile one, that'd be shiny. Thanks :D

edit: also, may I ask why there's no 64-bit release? Just curious.

Edit edit: Never mind, I got it. In the wiki, where it says to use lib64bz2-dev for a 64 bit system, it doesn't work because lib64bz2-dev is now libbz2-dev:amd64. Apt should automatically get this if you just tell it to get libbz2-dev.
