Backwards Compatibility

    Hi,

    I am using version 83 (I don't like TPT++) but many saves are broken. Most of these saves have sections missing, mainly walls and large amounts of single materials eg. DMND.

    Does anyone know why this happens? If you know of a solution please tell me.

    If you don't like TPT++, use jacob1's mod, I use it and it is awsome!

    Viktor is correct. He pretty much runs the game in his mod and has all the new elements and more of them.  There are also special things in the HUD that you can use to help make your creations like FIND.  I highly suggest it.

    free advertising is nice. I don't even need to add anything, except, my mod has compatibility with tpt++ saves, and does what you want. So I guess you could either use tpt++or my mod, for compatibility with all saves, or tpt (worst choice).

    And is there anything about my mod you don't like? Or is it just that you don't really like mods much. I used to be like that too, but there aren't any more tpt updates, so it shouldn't matter. My mod is up to date and doesn't just add tons of new elements (really, only 10?), but does add tons of new features.

    I'm not a fan of mods in general. I've had your mod for a few months but I only ever use it if I want a specific feature.

    Back to the topic please

    I keep just his mod open. It also gives you a headstart on projects before new elements come out so you can post new creations with the new element as soon as it comes out.

    I will change how saving works, it does let you save publically, if you don't use my mod's elements. It's sometimes confusing now (depending on the save options you have on), and i'll get rid of the warning. It will just disable the 'public' option if you use my mod's element, that is all and it's easier. And great that you use my mod. I should keep track of who uses it. I've seen saves by you, cj646464, and FeynmanTechnologies now that use it, and I know some more people too.

    yep, except VIBR isn't there. DMG and TSNS is actually the first time I ever did that, because tpt++ took too long. I try to wait until the next official version before releasing it.

    It looks like jacksonmj is making a tpt version that is tpt++ compatible (using my wall conversion function, and he is doing the same thing as me with porting tpt++ stuff back). I think my mod is better than it, but you could still use it if you wanted... or have some other reason.

    Expect his post in 3...2... Edit: ? maybe not? It says he uploaded his version but it's gone now

    @circovik

    Download:Windows Linux Source

    It should open all saves made with TPT++, post links to any saves that don't work. Thumbnails will not work properly (walls will not be visible, for example), that's a problem with the thumbnail renderer on the website not with the game itself.

    It does not yet include any TPT++ features, and is mostly the same as 83.0.
