No one gets credit for anything, Probably no one can name the person who first invented calculators on TPT....

    They were shit big.

I recognize that you were the one that came up with the idea. I'm not sure if other people do, but just be happy that people liked your idea so much they copied it.

There are always trends in tpt, one person does something cool, and then someone else improves it and makes it better. Eventually, something really amazing is created just by one idea. This also happened with soap:

No offense but I think I was the one who made it popular because I brought layering into tpt (I didnt make the first recognised layered save but i brought the tutorial). Also, I made it without the fourum tutorial. I thought, isnt phot and neut weightless? Is it possible that the save I saw was made this way? (the save I saw was yours) and I tried putting something under it, and I checked the thing that tells how many parts are in the save, and thus I learned how layered elements worked. Not to mention the fact that many people think that going into the fourums is too much of a hassle.

You two have to accept the facts that whenever you post content on the internet, you can not expect this content to be attributed to you. It will be stolen, modified, re-attributed, whatever. The Internet is a place where everyone can be everyone, do everything and most of times get away with it.
Don't *patent* an idea. You have no way of knowing if someone else *thought* of that before.

A mod once said that if they -wanted- TPT to not allow copying, they would've implemented that ages ago. It's better for everyone to have it free.

There is even a religion based on the free rights to share files, it's called Kopimism. Feel free to blame whoever, it's just who we are.
There are also various TED talks on the topic of creativity.

To be honest you are late, by months. The original inventors/discoverers of compression were bEngineer, sandstorm and myself. We did not ask for credit, I personally didn't care about credit, I cared about using it. When compression was removed I continued to use it in my saves, but mostly my stamps.

If you want credit for inventing layering then you should be giving credit to the original discoverers also. The fact is, pretty much nobody gives credit for using things, such as new technology to make smaller electronics.
