The basics of the new fusion aspect of the game are this: hydrogen, noble, or carbon dioxide+big temperature+big pressure=nuclear fusion! Nuclear fusion produces heat, light, pressure, plasma, and one of 3 waste products. It goes in this order: hydrogen > noble > carbon dioxide > singularity. Hydrogen is the first nuclear fusor, fusing into noble at approx. 2000 degrees and max pressure. Assuming it is in an enclosed (walled off) enviroment, it produces about 2000 degrees of waste heat. Noble is the next fusion capable element, fusing at about 5000 degrees into carbon dioxide. I havent tested CO2 fusion very throuroughly, but it appears either a small amount of singularity is produced by noble fusing, or CO2 fuses at the same temp. as noble (into SING). Note: all my tests were done in an enclosed wall square.
This is pretty close to being correct. H2 only needs 50 pressure to fuse, NBLE needs 100, CO2 needs 200, and OXYG (doesn't fuse in current version) will need 250, 9700C, and newtonian gravity.
I think CO2 needs 9000C to fuse, but I can't remember exactly. NBLE produces no SING, only CO2, which I think fuses into oxygen even in the current version
Guys just read this. This is straight from my original suggestion thread:
FUSION PROCESS: 1: When HYGN is at 50 pressure and heated to 2,000 degrees, It will transform into PLSM and will release 1 NEUT, 1 PHOT(colored yellow if possible, and generate either 1 or 2(random) particles of NBLE. It would also generate 50 pressure and raise the surrounding temerature to 4,000 degrees.
2: When NBLE is at 100 pressure and heated to 5,000 degrees, it will transform into PLSM and will also release 1 NEUT, 1 PHOT(colored red if possible), and 1 particle of CO2. It will also generate 50 pressure and raise the surrounding temperature to 9,000 degrees.
3: When CO2 is at 200 pressure and heated to 9,500 degrees, it will ignite in a large explosion, turning into PLSM and creating a shockwave of the maximum possible temperature and pressure in TPT. It will also release 1 NEUT, 1 ELEC, and 1 OXYG. Also, there is a 1% chance that 1 SING(3 life) will form.
4: When OXYG is at 250 pressure, heated to 9,500 degrees, and under the influence of a NEWTONIAN GRAVITY WELL, it will transform into PLSM and generate 1 SING(50 life), 1 BRMT(powder standing in for iron), 1 NEUT, and 1 PHOT (colored white). It will also create a shockwave of the maximum possible pressure and temperature in TPT.
NOTE: OXYG fusion is an upcoming feature and is not yet in the official vesion.
