Is this possible? To set the selected element, and if so how?

Also, what is the "Element Name" for None? Is it NONE? Or just "" (A blank string)?

    As awlays, thanks!

    EDIT:
"None" as in the erase element...

It is not possible to set the selected element, but it would be useful if a way was added. You can still get the selected element with tpt.selectedl or tpt.selectedr

The element name for none is "none", "NONE", or 0. An empty string will not work if you want to set the type or ctype of something

None is just 'none'. Can you try these things before posting, please?

And as for selecting an element... Click the element you want. ;D
As for a console command for selecting it, I don't think we have one currently.

None is not the "erase" element. It's what the entire save becomes filled with when you press the "clear" button.

"None" is just the pseudo-element for nothing. Changing the type of an element to "0" or "NONE" will delete it, changing the active cursor to it will make it erase particles.
