    linfuciuscont:

I noticed that there are two elements displaying as SEED: The new SEED element, as well as the old Seeds (B2/S). Would it be preferable to change the name of one of them to reduce confusion?

We talked about this but left it the same because it isn't a big deal. SEED (gol type) isn't a real element, it's just a display name for a variant of LIFE.

BASE dissolves things similar to ACID so yeah that's normal.

also, virs can't infect base at all, even if it's completely diluted. why?

@gabriel_ultrakill (View Post), here's a good explanation: Just like ACID, BASE is meant to have a very stong affect on most elements. That means when it's diluted, it's still stronger than SOAP.

Might be accidental, i was trying to see how the new pipe heat conduction works, i surrounded PIPE with HEAC and that HEAC was surrounded by LAVA, then i placed some WATR which would go through the PIPE and heat up, at first it transformed into WTRV but suddenly it flash-freezed into -30 and to -270.

There is a bug with HEAC in the beta, which causes everything to rapidly decrease in temperature. To fix it, don't put any HEAC next to pipes.

I guess you'll have to put a little bit of HEAC by the pipe to convert it into heat pipe, and then remove the HEAC later.

You can also just bypass the HEAC, and set the pipe's .tmp to 1 with PROP tool.

When using tools like CYCL, VAC, and AIR on an empty save, flickering psychedelic patterns appear in the beta's new dynamic temperature mode (shift-6). Is this intended behavior?

To add to @linfuciuscont's question, what is the dynamic heat mode's intended behavior?

It shows difference in the average heat, pinker means hot compared to avg temp, bluer is cold compared to avg temp

I'm guessing that it starts glitching out when everything is at the same temperature, such as on an empty save with ambient heat turned on. At that point, nothing is hot or cold compared to the average temperature, so the dynamic heat display doesn't know what to do.
