    I Believe you Americans are just stupid for electing those people whome are in congress. Those congressmen are (Without a doubt) some of the silliest people in the world.

    We don't elect congressmen congress elects them.

    I get the feeling you think that is actually the law ... so no, it is not. There are elections every two 2 years, the congressmen being elected rotate so that they server 6 year terms. (I think, at least for either the house or the senate. It's been a while since I had US government in school). In the senate (or maybe it was the house of representatives?), they used to be elected by the legislators in the state government, but an amendment changed that a long time ago.

    There is corruption everywhere though (like in almost every government). For example, state lawmakers that draft the boundaries where the senators get elected pick them so that their own party gets more power in congress. But the actual congressmen don't pick ...
