By the way I'm American and we use Farenheit, not Kelvin.

nobody uses Kelvin. Americans use Fahrenheit, almost everyone else uses Celsius.

Kelvin is used in science though. It's much better than a human created scale and can be used in calculations, the other ones can't be. It's just the natural scale.

So if the rest of the game uses one type of temperature, why change it to Kelvin when you are using PROP or the console? Unless you have calculator next to you it'll just get annoying. I find it easier just to use HEAT and COOL to get exact numbers.

Nothing in the game uses Celcius. It converts to that to show in the HUD, but besides that, every temperature value in the game is in Kelvin, for all reactions, all transitions, and all other code. There's probably one line of code in the entire game, that says +273.15, and that's it.

    Edit:

both number 1 and number 6 are now fixed

Preferring Kelvin over Celsius is like preferring meters over Flen.
Flen is something Notch thought out to support his argumentation.
In Celsius, the zero point is the approximate freezing point of water.
The temperatures can go down to -273.15.
Continuing in that spirit, why not use Flen to represent distance?
0 Flen is exactly 1.76 meters, about the length of a human.
-1.76 Flen is exactly 0 meters. It's just an offset.

The other few things though are valid and I agree.

You really have a point there. Today I will try to get my mom and dad to understand this.

Don't remove the Kelvin plz! The C thing looks great, maybe you can add the F thing if you like :)

This is kind of confusing...before you understand it. The point is, it's NOT convenient setting Delay. Setting a 148 frame delay? Can you tell me the correct temperature you need to set immediately? The 421.15? I can't.

Things like DLAY should work directly on the Kelvin scale to work nicely.. :)

Why don't you add celsius scale to your mod?

Celsius and Kelvin use the same scale, it's just that Kelvin=Celsius+273.15.
