Default mod textures are lowres, I use hires packs, uglyness. Also, my Mc jar is clean BECAUSE MAGICLAUNCHER PATCHES IT ITSELF. I never patched it myself, magiclauncher does all that, and cleans up after itself when MC is closed. Also, mods folder.

Re-do your mod textures. They might be from an older format. Just try it, see what happens.

it isn't an error to do with minecraft, try uninstalling all your java runtimes and installing one. Then try running it again.

JRE 6, to be exact. It's pretty much failsafe.

I would suppose if your using hires packs for MC that it would be a graphics related issue. Try switching back to the normal graphics pack and checking your memory or something like that. I think I had an issue similar to this a while ago too.
