So I'm playing on my friend's modded survival and I want to load one of my ol' TP's with mod textures. So I do, and minecraft crashes at loading. Again. And again. And again.

I've tried everything - trying multiple combinations of textures, multiple texture packs, some MC starting parameters, etc. The thing is, it used to work! Help?

 I could, but the whole point of this thread is how to not have to. I can use any texture pack as long as it doesn't have mod textures.
