1. There isn't that much advertising on this forum, but when I see someone suggest a feature that is in my mod already, I just like to tell them that it has it. For example, someone had a problem with the game crashing, and I figured out what the problem was and fixed it for my mod since I don't have access to the official source. Someone posted about the game crashing again today, and I told them the only current way to fix it: my mod, and that they should check if it actually fixes it though.

2. I think that is a problem too, but not every suggestion can get into the game. It mostly depends on what the developers feel like doing and what they have time for. It would be nice if more suggestions got in though.

3. I don't really see too many of these, just ignore them if you want and let other people deal with them.

4. The forums have gotten a lot better than they used to be. The element suggestions forum had to be closed completely because of haters. I think they also had it for a while where only moderators could post on suggestion threads.

5. Those can be hidden easily.

I just hid some suggestion posts in places they don't belong (including nab1929 advertising for my mod, even though he already edited the post). Also, element suggestions do go in the feedback forum, now that the element suggestion forum is gone. That might have been removed last summer, I can't remember exactly when. Also, I don't know how you could possibly limit stupid questions without limiting new users from doing things or posting threads.
