    They have basically discovered that we can code it so that with tmp=0 it behaves one way and with tmp=1 it behaves the other way. They use it to prevent the "breaks saves" argument and to have multi-elements.

    tmp variable is not particularly special actually, it's used for different things depending on the situation.

     

    But yeah I kinda agree. :O Just the biggest issue is that because it's so old, it's very likely that screwing with it, even to add massive improvements, would mess up a lot of older saves that may have relied on the lack of those very mechanics.

     

    It might get changed someday, who knows.

    Why we shouldn't have elements without anything special. WOOD is fine as it is now, it's simple and nice, everything introduced in first post can already be done.

    Look at DUST, that is more unlikely to be used than WOOD. Yet in another thread's attempt to remove it, it was not accepted, and we still have DUST.

    I don't want wood to be removed, just perhaps hae some properties edited. check out the first page.
