A Great Idea. (NOT A NEW ELEMENT)

Why in the world would you need to post more than 1 an hour if you are putting any sort of effort into a save? It's not like they can't save things as stamps and upload them later.

Yes! I totally like this idea. I hate all the people that draw pictures and put them up there.

I hate save spamming. But I also hate it when rules effect the good too.

I strongly dislike this idea. The voting system already takes care of filtering unpopular saves down in search results. This would impose an artificial limit on what people choose to make public that still wouldn't keep saves you personally dislike off the search results, which is really what this is about. While you and I may think a save is "terrible", if it eventually gets voted up, it's safe to say that our opinion differs from common opinion on that save, and you are better off simply accepting that as a consequence of the beautiful human feature of having our own individual personal preferences. Also, the save database is a public forum for all TPT players to share anything they want, not for public sharing to be limited because of specific other players' individual judgments.

To put it bluntly, for example, if you (the general "you") don't like my saves, I simply don't care (not my problem), and I wouldn't want my actions limited because of your opinion. =)

Perhaps, as an alternative, a list of members on the web site ranked by, say, average votes per save over the last month, would give you a more quality list to browse through.

Another solution may be to allow members to subscribe to other members, or to subscribe to save keywords (similar to Google News), so that saves of individual interest are more readily available.

Yet another possibility may be to not impose a limit, but instead to group recent saves by member in the new saves list; so a member can publish 100 saves if they want but still only take up one slot on the search page. "Stacked paper" style thumbnails, or tiled thumbnails, could show previews of multiple saves.

The simplest solution, of course, is to not let it bother you if you see saves you don't like on the search page. If it stresses you out that much, maybe try yoga or something.

On a more philosophical and reflective note, I think the complaint in the original post is indicative of a larger problem of people gradually losing their ability to filter and ignore unwanted information on the internet. If you don't like the first page of search results, suppressing ADD tendencies and pressing the "next page" button is always an option. I know it's hard to swallow, but there is a page beyond the first. =) I blame the TV!

Personally I am OK with the current state.

Catelite just commented on my other anti spam Idea saying that limiting saves per day would be nice.

Thanks. They might not read it knowing them, but with a paragraph that big backing you up, they can't argue. This idea is killed.

Hey FinalFish that is funny....u just yelled at me on my other post about how limiting saves/day would be a better idea.....xD
