I made my 2 pixel thick laser but am facing problems with heating to the metal contacts to turn the laser on and off and I have used insulator but the heat travels through the laser back to the pscn and nscn. The rule that all laser have to be 1 pixel thick makes it easier but I would still like to know if there is anyway of making the 2 beam one work. Can you pm me.

One problem though, an ACEL laser can't be all THAT at one time. You have to sacrifice speed for efficiency and vice-versa. Also design and funcionality (and vice versa). So which ones would the judges prioritize? Can you state them so that the competition isn't vague.

Furthermore, you know rule 12 (pixel size) well literally ALL my lasers are 2 pixel beamed and if I decrease it, it wouldn't look so pleasant (because I use walls and it's just a perfect fit). Can you please at least make two divisions of this comp; one for one-pixeled and one for two-pixeled coz I think some creators would also have two pixeled beams. Or can you give exceptions? Thanks.

What do you mean? An ACEL Laser can be both fast and efficient, as being efficient means getting through the targets as Quick as possible. Also Design and functionality? Not a problem. The design is How it works. So it has to be designed to have a function (HEAT/COOL)
    Just to sum up:
Fast/Speed: How Quick the beam is Think. Is it too quick?
Efficiency: How Quick it Heats/Cools the targets. Think. Can it be hotter?
Design: How it is designed and Aesthetics. Think. Is there a better design?
    Functionality: Easy. Hot Or Cold?

    On a side note:
    I will make a new sub-contest for 2 Pixel thick/beam lasers ok?

wait, so now i have to change my laser so it's beam is 1 pix thick?

oh and if you are judjing by how 'fast' it cuts, make sure the FPS on each laser is about the same.

No, ads999 is going to make a sub-contest for 2 pixel thick lasers beams.

I'll make an entry for the 2px thick contest.

No you Enter into either the 1 pixel or the 2 pixel Sub-Comp.

Thanks for taking in my "Sub-Division" suggestion.

Just to explain it to you better, what I mean is that this (which has slower speed than "Hyper Speed") is more efficient and faster at melting things:

And this is my fastest laser (which is EXTREMELY fast, but not very efficient):

And with the design and functionality one, what I mean is that if your laser has loads of different functions, it'll be harder to decorate (especially for me because I'm not exactly a pixel artist, but a laser-engineer) because of not only size, but also the non decoratable parts (ie, spaces/gaps between the ACEL tube)

See what I mean now? But thanks anyways :)

That's the fastest laser I've never "seen" before XD but I see your point

Edit: remove glass and then it burns quite quick

Ahh I see. I'll make a sub comp For Aesthetics.
