It's done based on votes in a week. :3 Occasionally, there is a big shuffle (like ealier today) and lots of saves drop off and slide onto the front page. I guess it's because most people publish things on a weekend, lol.
The maximum time on the front page is 7 days since the save was published.

Simplified version here:

1. The save must be less than a week old.
2. The save must have more votes than the save with the least amount of votes currently on the fromt page.
3, If there are two saves that both have a higher number of votes than is currently on the front page, the save created most recently will take the spot

P.S. If you made a save in a private save and then decide to publish it (like if you've been working on it in private), then save it in a new save, because once i was working on a save for four days (not four days straight), and then published it, it got on the front page, and got 115 votes in 3 days, after that, it dropped off because the acctual save was then 7 days old

It doesn't need 100 votes, lol.

It depends on how many good saves there have been recently, but it's usually around 10-25 votes.
