It will NOT happen. Every developer likes the idea. Simon is the one that keeps the generated icons and save pictures so he has the ultimate decision, and he likes that idea. I like the fact that diamond art has lost front pages on most occasions. -
this is directly from Jacob1 : Even I tried to convince him(simon), but all of the other moderators also supported it, and 1 vs. all the others isn't going to do anything. Just try and make your saves look good without deco from now on, if it's added back, it won't be for a long time.

I never said the deco on thumbnails would be back, what I did say was that in tpt++,deco appears on the thumbnail once you click it (before you open it), and that soon deco might appear on thumbnails in tpt.

I said that a long time ago when this first happened. I've changed my mind now. I didn't think it would work at first and just cause threads like this, but it actually did work as it was intended. Also, in tpt++, it isn't as bad anyway, and black deco will be back soon so that you can hide things like you are supposed to.
Edit: Simon just made a commit to tpt++ that Disables decoration when rendering saves. This means you actually have to open it to see deco, and the save preview won't show. it. It's a simple change though, you could easily remove those lines to get it back (and I probably will for my c++ mod after a while). This will probably also disable decoration on stamps and local saves. -

so my protest is now useless... not deleting it now its like my 3rd best save
