Just wanted to mention some things I have noticed about lag.
First off I get a very slight increase in performance after I've created/deleted very large numbers of particles at a time and then load up my benchmark test save which consist of a large circle of iron filled with Oil with the view settings set to basic. When I first open up TPT after I restart my computer the consistency in FPS with this save has allowed me to use it to tell if there is something affecting my computer's performance even in the slightest which is great because I've detected issues with my computer I likely would not have detected without that until it had had a much more profound effect on my computer. I have made sure that my computer is not running any more or less programs/services/processes in the background when doing FPS checks so I know that it's likely relating to the game itself in regards to the fps increase. I just thought I'd mention that to you as it may help you improve the game's performance further. I'd also like to mention that Hydrogen gas produces a fair bit more lag than the other elements under "gases". I get a difference of about 15 fps between it and BOYL at a particle count of around 41600.
@h4zardz1. that is because there is only one pixel of PSTN, the other pixel is FRME. I have made that mistake myself a couple of times.
Might want to change the dates of the most recent updates you posted. They say 2013 instead of 2014. Lol
I noticed that not only has development of this game slowed greatly but the forum community seems to have slowed down as well. I've been playing this game since very close to the very beginning and I don't want to see it stop being developed whatesoever. If it's ideas you need I am more than able to lend a hand with that. I've come up with several in the past that were added and I can do so again easily. Is it a problem of running out of ideas or is it an issue with developers losing interest?
Then hand it over.
