In the electronics layer, anything that conducts electricity will work normally. While it would be possible to put other particles in this layer, the simulation for these particles is simply turned off. (meaning they will just sit there).
As far as "walls that allow particles", you can use these walls, but I would not see the reason, as they would do absolutely nothing.
Ummm....... You understand that if this second layer will only interact with the first layer via electricity. Any particles in the primary layer can not "fall" into the electronics layer. In addition, all simulations except those needed for electricity will be turned off (which means if you put bomb in this layer, it would stay in one place and not explode).
I think you are comparing this to the 3D powder toy idea. This is quite different from 3D. (probably the biggest difference is that it has a chance to actually work)
Hmmm........................ Well..................... Maybe, we could have a separate download for the 2D and 3D version. With that: +2 Without: +0.810201
Bud, good idea. Whoever doesn't like layers, don't get them!
But this is a great idea. I'll explain it for those who don't understand it, as I did.
LAYER 1 IS PURELY FOR DECORATION, ANYTHING IN IT WILL NOT MOVE, NO PRESSURE, HEAT, OR ANYTHING (could be used for logos to prevent getting in the way, maybe) LAYER 2 IS JUST THE THING WE ALREADY HAVE (normal TPT) LAYER 3 IS FOR ELECTRONICS, ONLY SPARKS WILL ACTUALLY WORK AROUND THERE, EVERYTHING ELSE WOULD BE COMPLETELY STATIC AND EXCEPT FOR ANYTHING IN THE ELECTRONICS SECTION, NOTHING CALCULATES (pretty useless to have anything else in there)
Also, I'll bump this great idea when it's going down for yah, when you're not allowed to doublepost.
I am interested in seeing if this would cause great lag, or if it would not affect the speed of PT. It seems like it should not, as the calculations are greatly reduced.
